Welcome To Veddler’s Landscaping LLC
What to expect from Vedder’s Landscaping projects?
First, we will meet with you to discuss the landscaping project areas, type of landscaping, budget and any questions or concerns. Our goal is to have open communication throughout the landscaping project.
Next, we will do a complete walk around the project area to see if material will need to be hauled in, hauled out or moved. We will also note any potential obstacles such as slope grading, and foundation structure. If starting a new yard or a steep slope we recommend tiling downward spouts away from the foundation to prevent washouts and potential problems.
We will call Miss Dig to identify and mark all utilities including electric, gas, water, phone, Internet to ensure safety for everyone involved and ensure no damage is done in the process.
The owner is responsible for staking out the drain field, septic tank, irrigation lines and underground pet fencing systems or any other concerning areas.
Soil conditions are crucial in the success of your landscaping. We recommend taking soil samples to check the soil type and nutrients around your project area so we can make recommendations. Retaining walls should have a minimum of one foot of stone base along with sand for proper strength and drainage. We encourage down spouts to be tiled underground past the edge of the grass or water basin especially if it is steep terrain.
For the best success of your lawn, we suggest a minimum of 3-4 inches of good, screened topsoil.
We offer stones, sand and screened black dirt. We kindly ask you to be available at the location or have the path and area marked where to dump the material, so we do not worry about overhead or underground wires with our equipment. We will try not to disrupt your driveway if possible.
Planting the best grass for your soil location is crucial. We recommend spreading the grass seed a little heavy due to wind, rain, and animals. We also may cover the area with straw to minimize the movement of the seed. Our goal is to beat the weeds in the beginning, so we are not fighting them in the end.
When planting trees, shrubs, and flowers we would make recommendations from the soil sample.
Our goal is to get you the yard of your dreams so you can enjoy yourself with family, friends and neighbors.
Ponds

There are many factors to consider when deciding to add a pond to your land.
Some of these are the location, depth, and soil types. A perc test must be performed to determine soil type. Also, it will have to be determined if the pond will need to be lined with clay or pond liner. Any pond that is not spring fed will not remain full unless lined. In most cases running water will be needed to keep the pond full due to evaporation
It is also important to make sure the landscaping and slope is done correctly to avoid wash outs and help keep your pond at the preferred water depth. A minimum of eight feet is recommended so it does not freeze out during the winter months harming the fish.
Determining what type of pond, you are interested in such as fishing, swimming or simply a pond for your landscaping will require various types of materials and maintenance including aeration, algae control etc...
If the pond is for fishing it is recommended certain things that will improve keeping the fish thriving and healthy. Using rocks, gravel beds for spawning and brush to hide from predators.
Driveways

Living in Michigan everyone knows how frustrating it can be to maintain your driveway. Everyone wants that nice, low maintenance driveway.
The key to having a low maintenance driveway is using the right materials. Certain things may affect how long a driveway will hold up such as making sure the down spouts from the house are tiled away from the driveway, installed culverts if needed etc...
We may recommend certain things be done before putting materials down to improve the life of your driveway.
Motocross Tracks and Trails

Motocross and trail riding has always been a passion of our family and many others, so we wanted to include this as an option. I have over twenty years of riding and enjoy seeing beginners' advance. Riding is a sport that the family can enjoy together.
If you are a beginner or an expert and would like to add a track or trails, we would like to help. Our goal is to build safe tracks for every stage of riders. As riders get more experienced, we can modify the track to match their new level. We have materials for all types of terrain.
If you are interested in a motocross track, you will need to pick a designated spot and will have to look up the ordinances and regulations in your county or township.
Horse Arenes
Whether you have an existing arena or you are wanting to start from scratch, we have you covered. We understand that having the right set up to keep you and your animals safe is important.
We know that certain types of soil and terrain can make it difficult for you and your animals. We can haul in specific types of dirt to provide great traction and keep you and your animals safe.
